Where are all the Duke and UNC posters? they aint on the other board I go to either.

But it is nice to see the predicted National Champions in the celler of the ACC...

I am still here. Its been a rough couple of days. Lost my job on Friday. Completely out of the blue. I think we have some serious NBA aspiration problems. I also think Wake was the better team. Its gonna be a long year unless Roy can get some heads on straight.

Well Rick, I'm calling the cease fire man. I'm very sorry you lost your job. I'm the first to admit that there's more important stuff than this rivalry thing. I hope the best for you.

Where have all the posters gone... long time passing. I decided to lay low on the boys in baby blue especially since the team I dread playing most every year is Wake. They'll bounce back, there's no doubt about that but the past two games have been quite enjoyable to witness.

Rick, sorry about your job friend. Seems like the norm these days unfortunately. I wish you the best.

Sorry to hear about your job, Rick. It's happened to a lot of people I know recently.
But there will be an opportunity that comes up for you soon, I'm sure of it. I just hope you don't have to relocate to find it.

I was offered a job yesterday but it was for half of what I make/made. I have an interview with another company tomorrow and I am optimistic about it. I have a unique skill set and it fits well with the company I am talking with. Say a prayer.

Sending good vibes your way Rick!! My hubby's company filed bankruptcy yesterday. He probably has another week or so to put in then he's out with no severance. Twenty five years - poof!

I am very optimistic. It will mean a pay cut but it is potentially a much better situation than where I was. Sorry to hear about your husband DF! That sucks. I will say that this happening to me has made me reevaluate everything. In many ways it has been a good thing.

I just hope you get what's best for you and your situation.

Oh yeah Rick... it's a big ole reality check. I'm just glad we have always lived below our means and don't have crazy debt like many folks do. Things seem to always work out for the best somehow. Keep us posted on how things are going with you.

Just dropped by to say that I've been in Michigan/Vegas/Michigan and now Youngstown Ohio on our way back, or else I would have raised my hand earlier. I don't post on your board much if at all after "the incident" as I know where I am not welcome. Of course I have made my annual wave after the football game, but that is more of an emoticon than a post, heh.

In regards to the two wins by the other teams, we simply got beat and need to learn to play better defense or we will stay in the cellar.

Got a call this morning. They want me. She even said they wanted to start me at more $$ than I thought they would. Its not where I was but the future could be very bright. I cannot thank you all enough for the kind words and prayers. For Duke folks, you all are OK in my book. BTW, I would think you guys would be #1 in the polls today. I have often said that there is only one poll which counts, but congrats.

Good to hear Rick. Hope it works out well for you. Much as i hate to say it, Wake deserves the #1 spot. Undefeated, beat the other undefeated team at their place. They look solid. And yep, unlike the BCS debacle, the rankings only help your seeding. Right now, it's just for hype.

Wake will be #1 in the AP poll only IMHO.
