So that team from Chapel Hell visited that team from Winston-Salem last night.
(I know, childish thread title and petty start to the post. But I couldn't resist.)
Anyway, what are your thoughts on the game?
Like most people, before the game I thought it would be close, but I thought the experience on carowhina's side would pull out the win over the Wake's talented freshmen.
But after the game, I have to say I was really impressed with Wake's play, their freshmen, and Jeff Teaque. (After Tyrese Rice's performance and Jeff Teaque's performance against the Heels..... the POY award might be in question.)
Green played really well, but Thompson looked more like a liability for his team on several plays.
Hanstravel seemd to have a poor game by his normal performance, but in reality was still pretty darn good.
Lawson is quick as lighting, but still.... I don't know, he's not scary good like he seemed to be at times last season.
Ellington found his shot near the end of the game, but where was he prior to that?
Up until last night's game, I hadn't been too impressed with Wake's schedule, despite being undefeated. But I look forward to seeing them play Clemson.
I don't look forward to seeing Duke play them in W-S, however. While Z has improved a lot over last year, but he will be out-matched in the lane against Wake's big guys.
Duke will have to play very well to win on the road against Wake.
Hopefully by that game G has continued to come become the player he should be, Singler & Scheyer are still playing well, Thomas has learned to shoot FT's, and Smith is a little more consistent on offense.
Either way, it should be a good game.
