A hug and kiss to both of you. Both you guys are downright cool. Yep...off to the mountains in about 10 minutes to get our tree and set it up. Plus they're calling for show showers and I want to get up the mountain. It's easy going down. You just go real fast and scream.

WHEEEEEE....got some snow and left at 7:30 this a.m. Had to decorate a bit and the aroma of pine, cedar and spruce is lovely. I'll cut a lot of rosemary before I go back this weekend for the tree(got it...just got to get it up the mountain). LOVE the smell of that particular herb. Tons of folks up yonder buying Christmas trees. Hope it really helps the folks in Ashe County. If you want to complain about the economy go up there and watch the people. Lots of babies riding on the hips of young girls who are babies themselves. Although I just turned 39 I can recognize 15 year old kids. ftr, my time on ACCboards is 10 years this month and I swear I have a life.

Miss Kitty, no grandchildren yet but my bestussis friend adopted their grandchild and he is much like a grandchild. He calls me Su-Su. He calls my friend (grandmother/mother) "Mimi." DaughterDuke calls my mother "Memaw." The other 3 grandparents/parents died within the last 2 1/2 years. As for the wine would Night Train do? j/k. I'll have several at the house plus my Crown Royal and a single malt. Don't be a stranger!

Now, no giving her daddy any ideas! She is getting a bunch of Duke gear for Christmas this year, to even things out. We're doing well so far - she is saying "baket" for basketball and "fuba" for football. Not too shabby for 14mos.

We do everything to protect our children. Early indoctrination with royal blue and a guy with a naughty, sardonic, Pan-ish look is an excellent start.

I do what I can! She did clearly try to say "Go Duke" tonight, which is definite progress.

PPG, are you sure that wasn't "GO BIG BLUE" instead of "Go Duke"?

Last year my little Aldee would see guys playing basketball on TV and say "Bu Bu Bu" meaning Go Big Blue. Next year he will definitely visit Rupp. I thought about taking him this year but he's a still a bit small. He might have trouble sitting ya know.

Well, Happy Birthday to me as long as we are at it. 34 years young today and still getting younger.

Sorry, I've been either preparing to host Christmas or on the road since you posted this. It's definitely "Go Duke," but Santa did bring a t-shirt reading "I bleed Blue & White" that both mommy & daddy can support her wearing.

Sitting is TOUGH for a little one. I took PPBabe to a Notre Dame FB game in October just after she turned 1, and she spent most of the game either in the carrier or walking between Grandma & Mom. Had to jump on the tickets though as my brother is in his senior year so the gravy train of massive ticket access via parental alum donations + preference in the lottery for having a student there is about to end.
