Went to the game at Wallace-Wade Saturday. Had a good time, talked to an older Duke fan who was just really cool for most of the first half. Then spent the second half stuck in front of a d-bag brigade, but there are always a few no matter the venue. Enjoyed the outcome, obviously.

Anyway...

Your marching band seniors are a quality group, the type of kids I know will make a positive impact in the future. If they learned nothing else at Duke, they learned what is most important. For those that weren't there, or missed it, they took off they're hats (and grabbed a couple extra), held them up, and there spelled out for both fanbases to appreciate was the line "Go to hell UNC go to hell!"

Nice.

It is good to see football games fun again, even though Saturday proved a little flat. The band has made do with much worse the last three years.

Hopefully Duke can get it turned around. It seems they have hit a wall the last couple of weeks. Maybe the coaching staff can get just a little more energy and execution out of them the last quarter of the season. Learning how to win is never easy when you have been losing for so long.
