Quote:One year after finishing 8-22 overall and 2-16 in the Pac-10, Arizona State has climbed from the Pac-10 basement to a tie atop the early-season standings. At 14-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play, the 24th-ranked Sun Devils, who host Washington at 6 p.m. tonight in a non-televised game, are enjoying their best start since the 1980-1981 season.
Herb's gettin' it done with the Sun Devils. I'm happy for him.
Sidney's offense is as excrutiating to watch as Herb's
they're polar opposites-Herb jacked up three's, Sidney tries to force the ball into the post while guards stand wide open for shots
my patience is going to be very short for this. two and out will be merited, three and out should be no argument
Sean Miller, before a Big Ten or Big East school hires him

"getting it done" for them will be to simply make the tournament every year
yes, he has very different expectations there.
But give the Pac-10 a few seasons and they'll figure his offense out.
I'm very happy for Herb and really do wish him the best. However, it's worth noting that despite being 14-3, ASU's RPI is only 72 (the Pack's is 57) and their SOS is currently 260. I hope he keeps it going, but we saw a lot of this early season high-carb fare at State and it didn't prepare the team all that well for league play or when it came to impressing the committee.
asu lost at home tonight to washington.

After reading the N&O article, his strength of schedule is indeed very shallow. I too believe they will stumble in the tourney.
With that said, I hope he does well. Never had anything against him, except his offense.
