At the time, A-Rod's decision to opt out announcement seemed crappy timing respectwise. I wrote it off as a money-hungry jerk agent's attempt publicize it but this guy puts it all on A-Rod. I doubt without knowing anything about A-Rod except that he attended his neighbor's college game and was gracious and not limelight seeking, I doubt if this was his idea.
Whether he signed off on it unthinkingly or callously I don't know for sure, of course. But it seems unlike him. Anyone else remember anything he has done to make one think that A-Rod is calculating and lacks respect for the game.

I've heard he likes topless bars, and even likes to take a guide with him to such establishments.
But I certainly don't hold that against him.

I understand there is dancing in aisles at Score's, okay more so than usual. A-Rod is coming back home. He is coming across like someone who got talked into to doing something risky and stupid and had second thoughts. I love to see George tying up a lot of money in a single player.

Now that the glue that was Joe Torre is gone, I can't wait to watch the fur fly between the huge egos that are PayRod and Jeter.

Yeah, I'm evil like that.
