I used to laugh at people that said Vick (the player) was overatted. Granted, they have more problems than QB, but it's pretty clear he was a huge part of their success.
Maye Petrino will gain traction in a couple of years, but I'm always wary when a college coach, no matter his level of success is hired to coach an NFL team. It just doesn't seem to translate (though I understand Petrino was a coordinator before L'ville)

He was a huge part of their success because the Falcons assembled personnel that only worked well as a unit with one playstyle - that of Vick behind center.
They're finding now that their pieces don't fit the current puzzle framework well.
As a long-term Falcon non-fan, I laugh in the general direction of the Georgia Dome.

It will take several drafts and a ton of free agent deals to build the Falcons offense again.
