Hard to argue that Marty should not play, until you look at who he has ahead of him - Paulus, Nelson, Scheyer, Henderson, maybe Smith, not even counting Singler as a perimeter guy since Duke is so height challenged.
If each of those guys just average 25 minutes, that's 125 out of a possible 120 for the 3 guard slots. It appears Marty's competition is Nolan since Greg and Demarcus each played 32 last year and Jon played 34, and Henderson 19 is expected to climb.
Marty played well when Henderson was suspended, and would have averaged more than 7 were it not for the chronic ankle injury.
Nolan seems to have equal ability to leap and slash to the hoop and may be a better defender against quick guards to give Nelson a rest occasionally.
Coach K is going to have some interesting choices on PT, the good news being that regardless of who he chooses they can contribute. Regardless of who plays in games, all 11 will make their teammates better every day in practice.
Seems like every year the bar for Marty gets raised just a little beyond his ability to leap over it, which from the video is substantially high.

Marty's PT isn't going to be determined by his offense. When he can play D, he'll get more time on the court.

^ Agreed ... he seemed to show flashes of good defense in the ACC tournament and NCAA game ...

His low relative PT was more caused more by chronic ankle injury than defensive woes.
Seems like every year there is another obstacle for Marty. I felt last year was his make it or break it year with Nolan Smith, Taylor King and Kyle Singler coming in looking for minutes, but hard to tell if he would have played more if not for the injury.
Regardless of how much he ends up playing, Pocius is valuable as a practice player simulating a foe with a strong offensive penetrator.

Having really good players competing for PT, would seem to be a good position to be in…. as long as team chemistry doesn’t suffer.
