Apparently, Ken Rosenthal at Fox is suggesting that the D'Rays may deal Elijah Dukes to the Nats. No mention of what they Nats are to give up.

So, the challenge I put to the erstwhile urCh is this:

as a fan of both teams, design a trade that helps both.

I would gladly offer Nook Logan and Ryan Langerhans, but I suspect that won't fly.

Safe bet there.
I would only trade for Dukes if I could spin him off in another trade, and by doing so the end result would be a net plus.

I would not want him on my 40-man roster. He is bad news, now and in the future.
MLB.com has an article about it

Quote:f Dukes were to join the Nationals, it would mean two things: Dukes would most likely play center field, which would end the Ryan Langerhans/Nook Logan experiment, and general manager Jim Bowden would be giving a second chance to another player. Dmitri Young, Ron Gant and Eric Davis are three examples of players who took advantage of Bowden's generosity and thrived on the baseball diamond. When reached by phone, Bowden would not confirm nor deny that the Nationals are interested in Dukes.
i'm sure los reyes'd take kaff! jesus colome off les nats' hands, i mean to be good neighbors and as an act of good will and everything. chad cordero?

on the whole i object to this entire discussion as a thinly veiled effort to reveal me as one not knowing what he's talking about.

try as i might, i can't revile dukes as much as i know i should. he just seems like a run of the mill pinhead to me. this is wrong of me, i readily admit
