Armando Galarraga robbed of a perfect game on an easy call at first base. Wow.

That is a shame as it was not even a close call. Maybe one of the worst calls ever and I am a Cardinals fan (Don you still piss me off Denkinger)
it was closer than 1996's megabrainfart by Ritchie Garcia in the damned bronx-- at least the Ump manned up and has gotten praise from all baseball people as one of the best [usually]. it really shook the guy up that he blew that call.

what y'all think about Selig's inaction? has a Commissioner ever reversed an Ump's call?
The crew leader should have called a conference and discussed the call before they let it go. But umpires cover for each other and this time it bit them bad. This will be the play that gets instant replay into baseball.

It is a shame, but I agree with not overturning the call. That would lead down a slippery slope.

I am glad that all parties involved have shown class in dealing with it.
