He's pretty good. We should probably try to keep this guy.
Nah, he's old.
Let's get that dude from Butler.
You all know I cant stand the bastage. Never could. That said, his winning 4 NC's in these times are much different than someone winning them years ago. Gotta give credit where credit is due. The 4th is a bit suspect (jab-jab) but Duke did what they had to do.
a bit suspect? You mean like when the other team calls a time out that they didn't have or when they throw the ball to the wrong team? Icon12

You are talking like JMGrimp now rick. I can assure you that I think your title from the previous decade is completely validSmile As is that runner up trophy in this years NIT. When are you guys going to hang that banner?
Not sure.I guess they may have to rearrainge our 5 NC banners, and move the Helms banner too! Heck, I was glad to see them FINALLY play like a freakin team. Looooong year. Ya'll have a great weekend. btw, I am just messin with you guys. JM is not.

Or when the other team's guard fouls your center just before Wilt Chamberlain can block his shot.

I think old Roy's was the only non-suspect one in the bunch.

don't buy the dbr report about the ncaa assigning the record from 1995, you know what day it is. K has 900 wins

Excellent point, I didn't even think about the date.
Few colleges ever get to see 1/2 the success he's had. Duke got very lucky with that questionable hire so many years ago.
Wankers. The whole lot of you.

K is our guy. Nobody can have him.
There are a couple of folks around here who I was sad for when Duke lost. Mama, you know you were one! You and that El fella.
Y'all have a great coach, as much as it pains me to say, it's true.

We have a great program. Wink
Hitler was also a good motivator. Just sayin'.

No, did Coach K?

No, but when the allies invaded normandy, he discovered he had a bad back and petitioned to have all the lost battles removed from his record and put on one of his generals, whom he then fired.
Let's get one thing straight; I started this thread on the Duke board to list out the accomplishments of Mike Krzyzewski.

I did not start it as a home for 3rd grade pot-shots by hole fans... move the hell on.

And if they put that record on him the only thing it will do is make him the all time wins leader. But don't worry, Deano still has the all time record for making college basketball the most boring event in all of sports during his day, which is gone now.

He's going to be that eventually anyway. What it would have done is shown some class and support for his assistant. Throwing his assistant under the bus was utterly despicable, and something Dean Smith would never have even considered doing.

Actually, you have that exactly backwards, as usual. It was Dean Smith who got the shot clock instituted, by demonstrating and exploiting a flaw in the rules.

You're welcome.
