What will Favre do next season?
I think he'll play again. I believe he signed a 2-year deal with Minnesota, but I could be wrong.

Heck, I'm a Redskins fan so what do I know.
Where's the option for "retire, then unretire right before the season"?
He just announced that if he is there, he will NOT attend spring drills or Training Camp. If this is his attitude he needs to get out. No one is bigger than the game itself. He had his glory run in his last year. Now he can solely concentrate on selling some more Wranglers.

well, I thought about that option, but really after 2 years in a row I think everyone is expecting that.
In contrast, notice how Kurt Warner is just going to set things straight this Friday (supposedly).

No parade, no ego sideshow.

Just a Hall of Fame quarterback being a stand-up guy for the organization he represents. Seems like a pretty decent thing to do.

Favre is still under contract with the Vikings for the 2010 season, so he's not a free agent. A guy who can't retire, coming off arguably his best season, on a Super Bowl contender. Sure, Brett, you're considering hanging 'em up. Anyway, 99.999 percent of America doesn't care what you decide to do.

The entire Favre saga has irritated me the last few years: Is he retiring? Is he playing? Is it the Jets? Is it the Vikings? And on and on.

When ESPN created a separate ticker category for him, I assumed the apocalypse was upon us. When the Vikings thankfully lost on Sunday, I thought, good, one more week of retirement talk and then the Super Bowl will take over, after which I could turn off the national news and not hear any more Favre news.
