As a jets fan, I hope that the weekends trend of big blowouts by the favorites doesn't continue! There hasn't been a good game yet.

I enjoyed last nights game!

Unlike last year, the teams that were considered the hottest teams going in have been eliminated. Just goes to show how unpredictable the sport is.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH=====lets see, Colts should be heavily favored against a young QB with the Jets............me no likey!

The jets played an amazing game. They remind me of the late 60's skins. They are built around a great defense and a terrific offensive line. They play a no frills, pound it right at you offense, with an occasional pass to keep the defense honest. The big difference is that the skins had the old and wiley Billy Kilmer at QB, while the jets have the young rookie.Sanchez has outplayed 2 pretty good QB's the past couple of weeks. Manning however, is one of the greatest QB's EVER to play the game.

The first three touchdown throws by FavRAY, could ALL easily be in his top ten. They guy is legendary. Like him, or not.
As long as he is harnessed, Brett is mega-deadly.

It would be utter irony of the Colts, who gave the game to the Jets a few weeks back, lost to them again.
Not saying its going to happen, would just be hilarious.

I was amazed at how fashionable it had become to pick the Cowboys to win. I couldn't see anywhere Dallas had an advantage except maybe at WR and in the secondary, but even this was arguable at best. I felt the Vikings were superior and they showed it.
I was a little disappointed that the Colts didn't get SD, but enjoyed watching the Jets beat them down nonetheless. I'm pulling for the Colts all the way, but with SD and Dallas gone, there isn't a scenario I'd be disappointed in.
Go Colts!!

The jets coach was quoted after the game as saying that he wouldn't mind if Manning didn't play again. He was kidding. It has to be tough to game plan for the guy. He's amazing. I'm rooting against the Vikes because I don't like the way that Favre handled his retirement and because I'm jealous that he's had all this success this year, but did nothing with the jets last year. He's the Roger Clemens of the NFL. I'ts all about Brett.

I agree about Favre's vanity. There's no doubt that he has an insatiable craving for the spotlight or else he would have just retired and moved on with his life like everyone else does. With that said, it is truly remarkable to witness a 40 year old play at the level he's playing at and as someone who frequently travels Minnesota, I can tell you that there are no more passionate and dedicated fans than Viking fans, so I'd have no problem with the Vikings winning it all to reward the good people of Minnesota.
Manning is simply the best and he's such a good guy that he's almost too good to be true. It will be great being in Indianapolis if the Colts win it all again. I think the Colts will be favored regardless of who they play and it's because of Manning.

This video cracks me up, especially when he smacks Jared Allen on the butt.

Oh now, Tim!

Look, Brett has spent many a year playing in the Black and Blue division and knows the system which is basic to the teams (excepting Tampa Bay, of course since Tampa Bay is, well, not exactly of the same history), how to use that system to his best advantage and how to feed off the Vikes' fans which are, like with every other team in the division, some of the most passionate and vocal fans going, Detroit being the "quiet" bunch if Detroit's fans could be considered "quiet". Brett has a shining example in Tarkenton to follow and I hope he will do just the same.
I enjoy watching Manning play also which gives me hope for a true "Heartland" Super Bowl this year. What could be better than being "caught in the middle"?

I'm also jealous that I'm getting older and Favre isn't! What's with that? He 40 years old. What's going on with that? I thought that you couldn't fool Mother Nature?

Got to be the jeans, er, genes, Tim. Lordy knows I'm not aging that way either.
As Maxine says: "I may not know a lot about football, but I know a tight end when I see one"
