So TO is now on the market. He joins Marvin Harrison in the WR market.

Kurt Warner re-signs with Arizona for 2 years and $23 mill.

TJ Houshmandzadeh is now a Seahawk, while Laveranues Coles joins the Bangal-Cats.

Matt Cassel is now a Chief...must mean Brady's comeback is on target.

Albert Haynesworth joins the Skins.

Fred Taylor has gained a new Patriotism, heading to NE.

Brian Dawkins walks away from Philly to join the defensive juggernaut that is the Denver Broncos. Correll Buckhalter has also left Philly for Denver.

Ray Lewis reaches a deal to stay in Baltimore.

Derrick Ward has left his spot as second wheel on the three-headed Giants backfield monster headed for the sunnier climate of Tampa Bay.

Also joining Tampa Bay via trade is Browns star TE Kellen Winslow.
I'd like to see Washington be able to pick up Harrison. But only if there's a discounted rate.
Haynesworth was a good signing for Washington.

Not surprised at all at Ward leaving. That was inevitable. And I think the Giants definitely made the right move in keeping Jacobs. There's simply no other weapon in the NFL like him right now. I don't care what other teams say publicly. He is a will-breaker. His effect is as much mental as physical.

I'm surprised the Chiefs got Cassel for a mere second rounder.
TO to my Bills ... this outta be interesting ...

Whoa! Seriously...interesting doesn't begin to describe that one.
Well, it makes sense (not for most b/c ESPN and most national media outlets barely cover the team):

1) The Bills were in need of a physical receiver who could take attention off of Lee Evans. They tried drafting James Hardy from Indiana but he had a quiet season before tearing his ACL. Steve Johnson a 7th round draft pick from Kentucky looked good, but he's still raw and needs more time to get polished. Laverneus Coles nearly signed with Buffalo but took a 5 yr/40 mill contract and Buffalo wasn't willing to pay that for a 31 year old with a history of injuries. TO is a much better deal under a 1 year contract. This I think won't have the same issues that Brett going to the Jets did last year.

2) Dick Jauron is under the gun from owner Ralph Wilson and basically was given 1 year to get things fixed, after 3 straight 7-9 seasons. This move has the earmarks of an owner trying to make a last ditch effort to get to the playoffs.

3) After going 4-2 in the division 2 years ago, they went 0-6 last year, including blowing 2 winnable games against the Jets (games that Brett Farve nearly gave away). TO is the type of player that changes that dynamic. They've also lost 14 straight to Belicheat.

High risk, but possibly a high reward move ...
Actually, without knowing the Bills' cap situation, I think a one year deal for (what was it..6.6 mil?) is actually pretty good. They didn't have to give up any draft picks and if it blows up in their faces they're not stuck with an unmovable contract. Not really that high of a risk, IMO.

And I have to say, even if he's not the receiver he once was, I'm not sad to see him out of the NFCE for the first time in years.
